7 Days from Casablanca to Marrakech by Fes
Day 1: Airport – Casablanca
You will meet at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca to begin your visit to the commercial capital of Morocco (depending on the time of your arrival you can drive us to your hotel before starting the tour). This tour will take you to see the center of life with its Art Deco architecture and the modern coastal resort of Corniche d’Miras Diab. You will also visit the magnificent Mosque of Hassan II, the second largest religious building in the world, which is open to non-Muslims.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes
After breakfast, at the hotel, we left for Rabat. Rabat is the political and administrative capital of Morocco. There, you will visit the picturesque Oudaia Kasbah, the Hassan Tower and the Chellah necropolis. Let me travel to Rabat Meknes. There you will have the opportunity to see Bab Mansour el-Aleuj (Gate of Victorius Renegade) says that it is the best gate of Meknes or even Morocco. Your visit along the medina walls will include the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, as well as Heri-es-Souani and Bassin de l ‘Ageudal.
Day 3: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast we leave the capital Ismaalian behind and travel through the countryside to reach the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. There you will have time to explore this archaeological site that includes the best preserved Roman ruins in North Africa, a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. Of particular interest is the Basilica, mosaic of Diana and the Ninfas bath and triumphal arch . We continue to the Imperial city of Fez where you will spend the night in a riad in the heart of the medina.
Day 4: Fes Tourism
You will spend most of the day with a local guide exploring the attractions of Fes. The city was founded 1,000 years ago by the second Moulay Idriss. The tour starts from the Royal Palace gate and takes you through the narrow streets of the Medina to the Jewish quarter and the tanneries. This visit highlights all the sites of cultural and historical interest such as the Bou Inania Medersa Karaouiyine and the Mosque. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to visit the cooperative ceramics to see traditional Moroccan crafts. In the afternoon we will take you to admire the panoramic views of the medina and visit the new modern city experience of Fes.
Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Marrakech
We leave Fes after breakfast to move through the variety of landscapes of the Middle Atlas mountains. We drive through Ifrane, known as “The Little Switzerland”, because of its appearance as a station of the Swiss Alps and starting from Beni Mellal, a modern city on the edge of the great Tadla plain. The city is famous for its oranges and olive groves that extend to the horizon. In Marrakech, we pass through some of the richest agricultural areas of the country.
Day 6: Marrakech day exploring
In the morning your guide will take you to see the historical sites of Marrakech including the Koutoubia Mosque, Jemma el Fna, the souks of the Medina, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, the famous Medersa Ben Youssef. In the afternoon your driver / guide will take you to visit the Majorelle and Menara gardens. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel riad / hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech – Airport
Depending on the time of the flight, there may be an opportunity to make last-minute purchases before you pick us up for your transfer to the airport.
